POWER offers a woman-centered,
trauma-informed continuum of care.
If you know a woman who you believe may need treatment for a substance use
or co-occurring disorder, refer her to POWER for a comprehensive assessment.
Skilled counselors are prepared to help you find the right level of care for your
client or loved one.
Once we’ve completed an assessment, we’ll refer her to the treatment program that best suits her needs. We use the Pennsylvania Client Placement Criteria (PCPC) and our own gender-specific assessment to determine the appropriate level of care. If she is admitted to one of POWER’s programs, our woman-centered, trauma-informed assessment provides the basis for helping her develop a treatment plan that will help her accomplish her recovery goals.
POWER offers a full continuum of care, including outpatient, intensive outpatient, partial hospitalization, and residential treatment. Our programs are designed to ensure continuity of care.
You or the woman you are referring may schedule an assessment with a caring, qualified Central Intake team member by calling the POWER Line: 412.243.8755.
Women who are receiving services from the Allegheny County Office of Children, Youth and Families (CYF) or Magee-Womens Hospital of UPMC may ask for a referral to POWER for an in-home assessment.
