Gender-responsive, trauma-informed
continuum of care.
If you know a woman who you believe may be in need of treatment for a substance use or co-occurring disorder, refer her to POWER for a comprehensive assessment. Skilled counselors are prepared to help you find the right level of care for your client or loved one.
Once we’ve completed an assessment, we’ll refer a woman to the right treatment program based on the outcome. We use the Pennsylvania Client Placement Criteria (PCPC) and our own gender-specific assessment to determine the most appropriate level of care. If she is admitted to one of POWER’s programs, our woman-focused, trauma-informed assessment provides the basis for helping her to develop a treatment plan that will meet her needs and help her accomplish her goals.
POWER offers a range of gender-responsive services including outpatient, intensive outpatient, partial hospitalization, and residential treatment. Each of our programs is gender-responsive and trauma-informed and our services are designed so that women can be assured continuity of care.
You or the woman you are referring can schedule an assessment with a qualified and caring member of POWER’s staff:
Residential treatment: 412.271.0500, ext. 112
Outpatient treatment: 412.243.8755, ext. 314
If you are involved with CYF (Children, Youth & Families) or Magee-Womens Hospital,
ask your caseworker or social worker to refer you to POWER for an assessment in your own home.
