Eligibility
POWER Connection offers the full range of services to mothers,
pregnant women or women caring for children, who acknowledge or
are suspected of abusing alcohol or other drugs. Assessment and
referral services are also available to men and teenagers in a client’s
family when their use of alcohol and other drugs puts the woman’s
recovery at risk.

Referrals come from CYF and Magee-Womens
Hospital. This project is funded by Allegheny County and Community
Care Behavioral Health Organization. |

In the following order, priority is given to women who are: pregnant intravenous drug users; pregnant non-intravenous drug users; non-pregnant intravenous drug users; and all other women who suffer from substance use disorder. |
