POWER Connection – “Connecting women and their families to services” – is a partnership with Allegheny County’s Office of Children, Youth and Families (CYF) and Magee-Womens Hospital. It assists women who are willing to look at how their use of alcohol and other drugs is affecting them and their children. POWER Connection strives to help women become free from chemical dependency, establish natural support systems to maintain a clean and sober lifestyle and preserve the integrity of their families.

Referral Process
Referrals come from CYF and Magee-Womens Hospital. This project is funded by Allegheny County and Community Care Behavioral Health Organization.
In the following order, priority is given to women who are: pregnant intravenous drug users; pregnant non-intravenous drug users; non-pregnant intravenous drug users; and all other women who suffer from substance use disorder.
