The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) provides non-residential treatment at a more intensive level than outpatient.  IOP services are offered at POWER’s Outpatient Program at Fifth Avenue Place, a collaborative community in the Uptown section of Pittsburgh.

What other services are provided at the IOP?
Women who enroll in the IOP make a commitment to attend up to 10 hours of programming a week. Specific treatment and supportive services at the IOP include:
Group Therapy
Trauma-Specific Groups
Drug & Alcohol Education
Life Skills Development Classes
(covering topics like healthcare issues, parenting training, budgeting, relapse prevention and establishing a sober-support group)
Resource Coordination
Transportation Assistance
Discharge & Aftercare Planning
Follow-Up

Eligibility
If you are an adult woman – at least 18 years of age – struggling with a substance use disorder and ready to make a change, you may be eligible for our Intensive Outpatient Program.

Criteria
Meet the Pennsylvania Client Placement Criteria for intensive outpatient treatment based on an interview that includes a screening assessment
Have a sincere desire to learn to live without the use of alcohol or other drugs
Willing to commit to full participation and regular attendance as agreed upon
Do not have any serious mental or physical health issues that would interfere with participation in all aspects of the prog
