Treatment for substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders as well as recovery support services are available and can be safely provided!

All Intake services are provided by telephone. Intake Specialists are working from home and managing all referrals, conducting urgent care screenings, referring clients for critical medical and/or mental health services when indicated, and scheduling all level of care assessments.

Assessment Specialists can conduct assessments in your home or at POWER. POWER staff and clients will practice social distancing throughout the assessment in any location.

Individual Outpatient therapy is conducted at POWER. If a client prefers, telehealth services are available.

Group therapy is conducted at POWER. Measures will be taken to practice social distancing, including limiting the number of people in a room and regulating distance between chairs.

POWER Mentors will see clients in person. When Mentors transport clients in their vehicles, both client and employee must wear masks. Additional steps will be taken to protect the employee and client, and telehealth services are available upon request.

POWER House is open and accepting new admissions. We have put in place additional protocols to protect staff and residents during this time, including frequent temperature monitoring, increased cleaning schedules, and restrictions on outside visitors.

POWER offices at 907 West St are open for clients. Visitors, including volunteers and vendors, are not permitted in the office.

POWER is diligently monitoring the situation around COVID-19 (coronavirus), paying close attention to CDC guidelines and updates from the Allegheny Health Department. The health and safety of our clients, staff, volunteers, and supporters are our top priority.

POWER Promises

We are open and providing critical services at POWER House, the POWER office, and in the community. We are taking extra steps to ensure the safety of our staff and clients. To assist with this, we need the following items:

  • Gloves
  • Masks
  • Disinfecting wipes
  • Disinfecting spray
  • Hand sanitizer

We are also taking donations to support POWER clients who are sheltering in place at home or at POWER House. You can help boost their spirits by sending things they can do while staying inside, such as:

  • Journals
  • Puzzles
  • Crochet hooks & yarn
  • Paint by number sets
  • Self-care items

If you would like to donate any of these items, please contact Barb at 412-760-4602 or bklemm@power-recovery.com to arrange for pick-up or drop-off.

If you order anything from Amazon, remember that you can also support POWER by ordering through Amazon Smile!
